The CEO of microsoft, Steve Ballmer, announced at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) that the highly anticipated Xbox Project Natal will be released in 2010 near the holiday season. Project Natal is a new approach to the Xbox. It now features motion sensing technology and will probably make wii run for their money. It will feature the same motion sensor like the wii, where it is needed to be placed on top of the TV in order for the persons actions to work. However from what i have seen, there seems that a controller is not needed anymore and it reacts with your hands. For more information about Project Natal, Click here.

Also, Ballmer talks about the new HP/Microsoft Slate. This sleek laptop is touch screen and is more powerful than a phone and as powerful as a computer. It is portable is very efficient for reading - similar to the Kindle E reader. But the Slate is a laptop. It is like a netbook, but i guess the only difference is the touch screen capability. Also to add to the list of new releases, Dell is releasing a new ultrasharp LCD monitor that will support a 2,560 x 1,440 Resolution. For more information click here.
