We are now using Twitter in our ICT class to distribute information between ICT students. The students in ICT classes are following one main twitter account, operated by our teacher. There are many twitter applications to use in order to tweet, whether on the Iphone or Blackberry. Apps like, Ubertwitter, Twitterific, Tweet Deck generate tweets and organize your account instead of going on the twitter website. Its very convenient on smartphones. If you're not following me, go right ahead and do so, click the tweet bird on top or follow me @Lee_Stephen. We have been informed that using twitter professionally is a good way to use twitter. Anyways just made this quick blog post in ICT class. And if you want to follow someone who tweets about technology and current events follow @PeterVogel

its been one amazing winter Olympics here in Vancouver Canada. All the spectacular events and participants from all around the world took part in these great Olympic games.
These games have lead up to one of the most anticipated finals between USA and Canada for the Gold in mens hockey. If you were keeping up with Hockey, you would know that USA recently beat Canada. But that was only for qualification. Canada still has a chance at gold, and now we see it as they face USA again.
This will be one hell of a game tomorrow.
You know who im rooting for.

It was amazing to see the torch pass by my school and head towards downtown. I can now finally say that i've seen the olympic torch, its something that i've wanted to see all my life.
Unfortunately i did not get to see the opening ceremony on account of me having to work. I heard it was amazing and hectic in downtown Vancouver.
And now that the games have officially started, GO CANADA!

A classic commercial featuring Michael Jordan and Larry Bird play for a Big Mac and fries. However, if you saw commercials before the Superbowl, there was a commercial very similar to the one with Michael and Larry. This time, Lebron James and Dwight Howard take on this classic commercial and twist it. In the original commercial Michael and Larry play without dunking. In the new version, it's all about dunking.
It's quite amusing seeing these two dunk it out. Although it looks very authentic and real, i assure you most of it isnt. The dunks in the commercial are quite entertaining but some are kind of outrageous. I could be wrong, but at one point it looks like Lebron is getting major hang time too long if you ask me. But overall its quite refreshing to see an old commercial brought back to life. They even featured Larry Bird eating the Big mac that Lebron and Dwight played for.
Anyways enjoy the video, after the jump. Old and New versions.

There are three digital footprint websites that our ICT class has tried out. A digital footprint shows how many people have a particular name for example. If you insert your first and last name the search engines will bring up related links, names, history, tags, videos, photos, all kinds of information pertaining to the name. It is quite interesting to see what comes up from just entering your name. Next time you're wondering who else has your name you'll be surprised as to what comes up.

(Map Provided CNN)

Haiti makes up one-third of the islands of Hispaniola in the Carribean. It is located between Cuba and Puerto Rico and two-thirds of the island is the Dominican Republic.
This horrific earthquake destroyed most of Port-au-Prince, the captial city of Haiti. About 3 million people in Haiti were affected by the earthquake. The earthquake had a magnitude of 7.0. It estimated about 10 miles southwest of Port-au-Prince. We have yet to know how an estimate on casualties because it is not available at the moment. Currently, the United States and United Nations are helping with the cause and Canada is promising 5 million to help them. The quake ripped apart buildings and those that were last standing were opened to all sorts of elements. It even affected buildings as big as the National Palace. This disaster is the lastest to effect the country of about 9 million. It was good news to hear that Haiti's first lady, Elisabeth Debrosse Delatour, reported that President René Préval was alright. Although, this disaster was catastrophic, everyone is doing what they can to help out.
To add, i know its not much but its something. If any viewers out there would like to donate money to Haiti, here's a safe site. Link from The Hundreds.
